Whittier House / Bearcamps Tavern

We stopped in here for dinner because it had a sign out front advertising their 100 beers and Microbrews.
Our waiter did not offer the fact that a menu of their beers was on the table when asked what they had for beers, but instead started a verbal list. That would have been fine, except that he didn't remember many of the micros.
The food here was very good. We ordered the Panhandled Steak with Baked Potato and the Flat Iron Steak. The steak was cooked to perfection, which is a tough task with a small steak such as the one I ordered. The quantity was pretty good also,
This particular night there was a live band playing, which we could not see because we were not willing to pay for $20 tickets to see a band we could already hear. The music added to the atmosphere, which was loud, friendly and family.
Our M&P Guy rating scores were:
Taste 1 (Great)
Quantity 1 (Plenty)
Service 4 (Our waiter didn't know enough to offer the beer menu, was very slow to return with the second beer and then brought a different beer than I ordered. Failed to ask if my fellow diner wanted more wine)
Value 2 (Adequate)
Visual appeal 3 (nothing special)
Atmosphere 2 (Pretty nice place but a point off for the cigarette smokers hanging around the front steps and porch when we left )

Average Score: 2.2 (M&P Guy ratings range from a best of 1 to a stay away from the place 6)
